The Alter Ego Tracker 2.0 All-Wheel Drive E-Bike: My First Impression
As an avid cyclist, I was thrilled to get my hands on the Alter Ego Tracker 2.0 All-Wheel Drive E-Bike. This is my first experience with an all-wheel drive e-bike, and I must say, I was intrigued. The Alter Ego Tracker 2.0 All-Wheel Drive E-Bike comes equipped with a motor at the front and a motor at the back, which is perfect for riding through parks, going on trails, and just about any terrain.
One of the first things I noticed about the Tracker 2.0 was the massive tires, measuring 26 inches by 4 inches wide, which are monsters! These tires gave me an extra bit of grip and confidence while riding, which made off-roading super fun. Additionally, the bike comes with French suspension at the front, which is perfect for handling bumps and rough terrain.
The bike is equipped with a Shimano seven-speed, which was impressive, especially when coming up to steep hills. The Tracker 2.0 is also built with past level one through five, allowing you to adjust how much power assist you would like while pedaling. Another thing I loved about the Tracker 2.0 was the seat, which was really comfy, even when riding through rough terrain.
The Tracker 2.0 is controlled by a little magic switch that allows you to choose between both Motors, front motor only, back motor only, or both Motors. This switch was a unique feature that I had never seen before.
The Alter Ego provided a cute little bag that had everything in there, including a multi-tool, three Allen keys on a little X thing, and keys that unlock a 16 amp hour battery. The battery is one humongous 16 amp hour battery, but what was really interesting is that you can actually order bigger batteries for this unit. If you’ve got a long commute, this would be a good option.
As I took the Tracker 2.0 out for a spin around Victoria, I was impressed by its range, which was much further than I thought it would be. I’m a big guy, and for me to be flying around like this and getting about 40 kilometers or 25 miles, I was pretty happy with that.
Overall, the Alter Ego Tracker 2.0 All-Wheel Drive E-Bike is a great option for anyone looking for an e-bike that can handle all types of terrain. The bike’s unique features, including the dual motor system and the magic switch, make it stand out from the competition. If you’re in the market for an e-bike, the Alter Ego Tracker 2.0 is definitely worth considering.
