Welcome back to my channel! In this video, I’ll be sharing some important tips on how to maintain your ebike battery to keep it in top shape and ensure it lasts a long time.
Your ebike battery is what powers your ride, so it’s crucial to take good care of it. The first tip is to charge your battery correctly using the charger that came with your bike and following the manufacturer’s instructions. Avoid overcharging it and use a WiFi electric timer to ensure it doesn’t happen. Also, don’t let your battery sit unused for long periods of time.
The second tip is to store your battery properly. Remove it if you’re not using your bike for a while and store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures and charge it to around 50% first if you’re storing it for an extended period.
The third tip is to clean your battery regularly using a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials and keep your battery dry.
The fourth tip is to use your battery correctly by avoiding extreme temperatures and not overusing it. Overusing it can cause it to overheat and damage it.
The fifth tip is to keep the battery at a suitable temperature range of 7 – 26 degrees Celsius (45-85 degrees Fahrenheit) and avoid exposing it to strong sunlight.
If your ebike is involved in an accident and you see visible damage, dispose of it responsibly through your city or town’s battery recycling program. Also, be aware of fire safety as ebike batteries can catch fire due to overcharging or improper storage. I recommend removing the battery and storing it in a burn bag.
