Niu sent out the Niu KQi3 Max electric scooter to me to review and I’ve been riding it around Victoria all week ๐Ÿ™‚ The ride was terrific on smooth roads but not so great on the bumps…manageable. The speed was decent at around 30kph with this big guy on it. The steering and stability were excellent and the noise from the motor was almost silent…extremely quiet. I found the rubber on the tires to be excellent under braking and in the corners…I really liked them ๐Ÿ™‚
As to the folding mechanism, it’s one of the best I’ve ever tried. I love the push button release, it’s original, sturdy and it works so well. The scooter has an IP 54 rating so you’re good in the occasional puddle/spot of rain (Dirt, dust, and splash resistant). The KQi3 Max Electric Scooter also has an intelligent regenerative braking which is smooth and puts a bit of energy back into your battery on steeper hills ๐Ÿ™‚
The lights are great and the front light being at waist height is so perfect ๐Ÿ™‚
The innovative app is required to start the scooter the first time and you will need to do a quick training session which I think is smart for new riders. Something I haven’t seen before but which I think is a smart safety process.

Big Guy Approved!
