In this thrilling video, I bring you an exciting face-off between two top electric scooters: the Varla Eagle One Pro and the Apollo Phantom. Join me as I dive deep into their features, test them out, and reveal my personal choice.

The Apollo Phantom packs a punch with its powerful 1200W front and rear motors, while the Varla Pro impresses with its twin 1000W motors. But the Pro takes the lead in battery capacity, thanks to its larger 27 amp hour battery compared to the Phantom’s 23.4 amp hour battery.

Braking systems differ, with the Apollo featuring mechanical brakes and the Pro equipped with hydraulic brakes. However, the regen thumb throttle on the Phantom caught my attention, significantly reducing the need for manual braking.

Speed enthusiasts will appreciate the Pro’s higher top speed, reaching around 70 km/h, while the Phantom offers a respectable mid-60s km/h range. Tire size also differs slightly, with the Pro sporting 11-inch tires and the Phantom featuring 10-inch tires.

When it comes to weight and payload capacity, the Pro is slightly heavier due to its larger battery, but it can handle a higher payload of up to 330 pounds compared to the Phantom’s 300-pound capacity. Suspension-wise, the Phantom boasts a quadruple spring system, while the Pro features dual hydraulic suspension.

During my thorough testing, I encountered a few minor gripes. The handlebar grips on the Pro didn’t stay locked down as securely as I would have liked, while the Phantom’s light was underwhelming. However, the Pro makes up for it with its powerful and bright light, perfect for nighttime rides.

Folding mechanisms also differ greatly. The Pro’s folding mechanism is unconventional, resembling a faucet, while the Phantom’s mechanism is simpler and more user-friendly.

Now, the moment you’ve been waiting for: my personal choice. If I need extra range or crave top speed, I would undoubtedly go for the Varla Eagle One Pro. It offers immense power, impressive range, and a host of features that I absolutely love.

On the other hand, if I prioritize a softer suspension and easy maneuverability for commuting, the Apollo Phantom would be my go-to. The regen braking feature on the Phantom is a game-changer, making manual braking almost unnecessary.

Both scooters have their unique advantages, and the choice ultimately depends on your personal preferences and specific needs. Share your preference in the comments below: which one would you choose, the Phantom or the Pro? Join the discussion and let me know your thoughts!
